Hello everyone! Today's post is going to be a review of the Lily England brushes (now on sale) that I've been loving so much lately. I have been using these brushes every time I do my makeup ever since they arrived. The set of 5 brushes now costs £25.99 which is a decent price for such high quality brushes, in my opinion. The luxurious collection is cruelty-free/vegan and crafted by hand to the highest standards.
This set of brushes is just stunning. Who doesn't love rose gold and white? The rose gold definitely makes the brushes look very luxurious and beautiful. This brush set would be perfect to gift a makeup enthusiast. The set includes a powder/blush brush, foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, lip brush and angled brow brush. The brushes all arrived individually wrapped then wrapped again inside the faux leather bag which I loved because this assured me that they would not be damaged at all and they weren't. The makeup bag itself is so pretty and has a rose gold zip. It's perfect and roomy to store your makeup and I will definitely be using this when I travel.
I was highly impressed with these brushes when I first held them and used them. They're the softest brushes I've ever had and they apply makeup so smoothly. I use the powder/blush brush mainly for blush and I find that it picks up the pigment of my blushes better than my Real Techniques one and it applies the blush beautifully. I mostly like using a sponge to apply my makeup but when I do use a brush I prefer them to be big. Hence, I use the foundation brush as a concealer brush to blend the concealer under my eyes and any other areas I want to conceal.
The brush that I've been making the most use out of is the angled eyebrow brush. I was in need of one since I started filling my brows a few days before these arrived and I was using the tiny angled brush that came with my brow powder. I used to just brush through my eyebrows and set them in place with the Maybelline Brow Drama which gave my brows some color and that is all I would do. I've started to fill them in with H&M's brow trio powder to make them look more defined and I've been loving the Lily England angled brush for that. As for the eyeshadow brush, I haven't used it that much since eyeshadow isn't a part of my go-to makeup look but I've used it twice and found it impressive. It's very soft so it doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It picks up the pigment of the shadows well and blends the shadows beautifully too. The lip brush of course is very handy for applying dark lipstick. I use it to take some product off the lipstick bullet and apply it like a lip liner. I also love using this brush sometimes to apply a neutral or pink lip then blend it out so it looks natural like a tint.
I've already washed the brushes twice and they did not shed or tear. They dry very fast, too. The quality of these brushes definitely makes me think I can use them for a very long time. I would love for them to come out with even more sets and individual brushes. They recently came out with a kabuki foundation brush that costs £8.99 and I might have to get my hands on that too haha. I really recommend these brushes as they're so handy and will last for a long time. If you do try out the brushes and you're not satisfied with them they have a lifetime guarantee which is great, all you have to do is let them know and they give you a refund. You can get their products both on their website and on Amazon.
Will you be purchasing these brushes soon?
