July Book Haul - 2015

27.7.15

Hey guys! Since I'm moving to Germany and it's hard to find the books I like/want in English, I've been accumulating some books to take along with me. These are the books I've bought this month, all of these books except for The Last Time We Say Goodbye were bought from Kinokuniya!

194870091| Ugly Love

Author:  Colleen Hoover

Page Count: 322

Format: Paperback

ISBN: 1476753180

Goodreads Synopsis: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't
think it's love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends.
The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction.
Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He
doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex.
Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only
two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don't expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can't handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

- I've been wanting this book since a long time since Colleen is my favorite author but I never got to find a copy or when I did it was too damaged. I finally found one in great condition two weeks ago!

224655972| Vanishing Girls

Author: Lauren Oliver

Page Count: 368

Format: Paperback

ISBN: 006237818X

Goodreads Synopsis: Dara and Nick used to be inseparable, but that was before the accident that left Dara's beautiful face scarred and the two sisters totally estranged.
When Dara vanishes on her birthday, Nick thinks Dara is just playing around. But another girl, nine-year-old Madeline Snow, has vanished, too, and Nick becomes increasingly
convinced that the two disappearances are linked. Now Nick has to find her sister, before it's too late.

In this edgy and compelling novel, Lauren Oliver creates a world of intrigue, loss, and suspicion as two sisters search to find themselves, and each other.

- Thanks Kinokuniya UAE for the free signed copy!

187137203| Allegiant (Divergent #3)

Author: Veronica Roth

Page Count: 544

Format: Paperback (Adult Edition)

ISBN: 0007538022

Goodreads Synopsis: What if your whole world was a lie? The thrillingly dark conclusion
to the No. 1 New York Times bestselling DIVERGENT trilogy. DIVERGENT - a major motion picture in 2014. What if a single revelation - like a single choice - changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected? The faction-based
society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered - fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she's known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories. But Tris's new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature - and of herself - while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

- Ofcourse I've already finished reading the trilogy but I read Allegiant as an eBook because this edition wasn't available in store here. Now I finally have my series completed in this beautiful edition!

210283114| To All the Boys I've Loved Before

Author: Jenny Han

Page Count: 355

Format: Paperback

ISBN: 1481417754

Goodreads Synopsis:

Lara Jean keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her.

They aren't love letters that anyone else wrote for her, these are ones she's written. One for every boy she's ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she can pour out her heart and soul and say all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly Lara Jean's love life goes from imaginary to out of control.

- I've heard so many good things about this book and Jenny Han herself so I decided to give it a go this summer!

206985305| P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I've Loved Before #2)

Author: Jenny Han

Page Count: 337

Format: Hardcover

ISBN: 144242673X

She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is
more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return
too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

- I'm planning on reading this duology back-to-back so I purchased this too.

172853306| The Last Time We Say Goodbye

Author: Cynthia Hand

Page Count: 400

Format: Hardcover

ISBN: 0062318470

Goodreads Synopsis:

There's death all around us.
We just don't pay attention.
Until we do.

The last time Lex was happy, it was before. When she had a family that was whole. A boyfriend she loved. Friends who didn't look at her like she might break down at any moment.

Now she's just the girl whose brother killed himself. And it feels like that's all she'll ever be.

As Lex starts to put her life back together, she tries to block out what happened the night Tyler died. But there's a secret she hasn't told anyone-a text Tyler sent, that could have changed everything.

Lex's brother is gone. But Lex is about to discover that a ghost doesn't have to be real to keep you from moving on.

- The reviews were so good for this, and it sounds very intriguing so I had to get this.
