My Most Anticipated Book-to-Movie Adaptations

25.5.15

Although there are various differences between a book and its cinematic adaptation that often angers a lot of people, it doesn't stop many of us from reading the novel before the movie. There are a lot of books that are becoming movies right now, so I've whittled down a list of the ones I'm most excited to watch this year and in 2016.

6| Me Before You - to be read
What It's About: A girl in a small town forms an unlikely bond with a recently-paralyzed man she's taking care of.

I have read:

1| Paper Towns

2| The Scorch Trials
What It's About: After having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles.

3| Allegiant: Part 1
What It's About: Beatrice Prior and Tobias Eaton venture into the world outside of the fence and are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare.

  2. I can't wait to see Allegiant Part I. I probably should watch Insurgent beforehand though lol. I was pretty skeptical about Divergent becoming a movie, so I dragged my feet for awhile. However, once I did watch it I pretty impressed. I'm currently reading the DUFF, and once I'm finished with it I'm going to watch the movie.

  8. I'm a huge bookie, so shout out to you for this post. Book to movie adaptations get me so excited. I've read all the same ones as you, plus Mockingjay. I'm looking forward to all four this summer, especially Paper Towns. I'm a little weary about Nat Wolf's acting, but hopefully he pulls through :)
